Good Food on the Inlet We tried to go the first time and left due to crowds. Did not realize they had a back waterfront section as well. We went back the next day and sat in the back which was great, nice view and good appetizers. Really liked the Theo wings. It was so good we went back the next day for lunch and had the fried scallops dinner, which had the best flavor of all the scallops tried on the trip. A bit greaser than other places but flavor made up for it. Definitely would go back again and eat and enjoy the river walk. Thanks

My wife and I have not been to Myrtle Beach in about 10 years and were really looking forward to eating at some of our old favorites. Drunken Jack's is one of our must eat at favorites. It is still a throwback to the old days with dark wood paneling, a long wooden bar, and a lounge downstairs. The one thing that I miss is the old salad bar, but Covid has eliminated a lot of those. I enjoyed a shrimp po boy that had a huge amount of shrimp on it. The remoulade was great. My wife enjoyed the small oyster platter. Our server took great care of us with refills and whatever else we needed. It is really nice to visit an old friend every once in while. Thank you.

I have been visiting this restaurant for decades, there are wonderful memories with 3 generations of my family. I had not been here in 9 years so I was holding my breath about how this would be. I was not disappointed! The food, atmosphere and service were all awesome! We were there on a Sunday night, it was busy but not crazy. We chose to eat indoors because, we are fans of air conditioning over views. :D These are truly the best sweet corn dodgers (hush puppies) on the planet! (Well, that is an exaggeration, but I have never been able to replicate them.) Back in the 1970s and 80s lots of places had good ones but it seems to be a dying art. I had a wonderful Old Fashioned, it was great that you could pick the bourbon/whisky you preferred for your drink. The hubby had a frozen margarita which he enjoyed. I had the fried oysters with mayonnaise based coleslaw. The oysters were amazing perfectly cooked with a well seasoned, but not overly thick coating. The hubby had a shrimp Po Boy that had a ton of flavorful creek shrimp on it. He said it was great! We were too stuffed for desert. We did wander down to the bar after dinner just to look around, they have updated the furniture but not the bartender. He has been there since the 90s in the the mini bottle days IYKYK. As I was buying my tee shirts (my old one is 22 years old and has some holes) on the way out the door I was able to talk to some long time staff and find out that this place is still owned by the family that started it and the head chef has been there for the last 20 years, so this explains the consistency. I know this place has lovers and haters....but I am on the LOVE side.

Our lucky night! We got there a little early and got the half booth on the deck with a great view. We started with a bowl of she crab soup that was as good as any that we've ever eaten. Our server, Meg was great. I went with her suggestion of the special of the day. It was fresh caught red snapper stuffed with a lobster-crab-shrimp risotto and topped with a roasted red pepper cream sauce. This was served over steamed succotash. My wife ordered the signature, award-winning Chef Casey's Risotto. Blackened mahi mahi and blackened scallops over their lobster-crab risotto and topped with their lobster cream sauce. Both were phenomenal. Luckily we didn't fill up on their hush puppies with honey butter. They could have been dessert! Lots of good places to eat at Murrells Inlet and Drunken Jack's should not be missed.

Can't stop talking about how great this place is. We arrived at 4:30 with a party of 6 and were seated immediately. Great view of the marsh, perfect for anyone visiting for the first time. Food was delicious and seasoned perfectly. Staff was friendly and welcoming, our waitress was Haley:) definitely will be eating here again!! You need to try any of the "Jack's Specials", you won't be disappointed.

5 star Atmosphere 5 star view 3 star service from waitress 4 star service from bartender 4 star food (Alfredo sucks) 5 star cleanliness 5 star location My friend's birthday celebration! The view was so wonderful. Cool reclaimed stained glass and atmosphere. The wait was very long, but the bar was a great way to have an appetizer and drink while you wait. Absolutely amazing calamari, hush puppies, cocktails, beer selection, and crab cake burger. The Alfredo sauce itself was decent. The noodles were overcooked and mush. Very overpriced. I didn't even eat a quarter or take leftovers I just had it thrown out.
